The Main Event, a 18 Round Match Play Championship with a Final Round Shoot Out for the top 2 Finishers to Crown The New England Champion. All Day Saturday. The FMPT is endorsed by the IFPA and WPPR, so the top four players earn 2.08, 1.25, 0.83, and 0.42 rankings points each month, the rest of the top half of players receive 0.04 points, and all other players will receive 0.02 points just for playing!  There is also a raffle, for which all players are eligible, with giveaways from Stern Pinball and "Tilt: The Battle to Save Pinball." The FMPT occurs at John's Place Restaurant, one of the premier Mid Atlantic pinball locations, in Fairfax, VA.  At the beginning of the tournament, players play matches with random opponents, game pick, and play order.   They get 0-8 points per match based on their performance, and then are ranked and split into small divisions (up to 5!).  The players play matches within their divisions, still on random games, but with selected play order and the top players in those rounds play for the division championship.  The top 2 in each division win cash and the winner of each division gets a plaque.
