Official Rules
Final Circuit standings will be determined promptly after the last Circuit event. Any player in the top 32 of the rankings will be invited to the Circuit Final.
Qualified players will be notified promptly by Circuit coordinators. If a player cannot attend, their opening will be filled by the next highest seeded available player who has participated in the Circuit. Players who do not attend will not receive any prize from the Circuit Final.
Players will be placed in a single elimination bracket based on the final seedings. Players seeded 1 through 8 will receive 2 byes, while players seeded 9 through 16 will receive 1 bye.
Each match will consist of a race to 6 Challenge wins based on a list of Challenges that the competing players will choose from. The player who completes the Challenge first is declared the winner for that game. These matches will be played one at a time with Player 1 setting the target time to beat and Player 2 attempting to then beat that target time to be declared the winner.
Players will start their timer prior to plunging and end their timer after they have completed the challenge. Tournament directors will verify that the challenge has been completed. If the player has stopped the clock without completing the challenge, this will be counted as “DNF” (Did Not Finish).
The higher seeded player will have choice of CHALLENGE or POSITION for Game #1. Choice of next CHALLENGE or POSITION will go the loser of each subsequent game throughout the match.
Each game will have 3-5 official Challenges to choose from. The same Challenge cannot be picked more than once by a player throughout the event until all of the choices have been exhausted. We will be maintaining a sheet of picks for each player throughout the event.
Because of the timed play aspect of these matches, any stuck balls, malfunction or rulings needed will be dealt with by tournament directors. Every match will be officiated and tournament directors will determine if they are able to temporarily stop the challenge in play, record that time, and then resume, or if a replay or some version of disqualification is necessary.
The winner of the match advances to the next round, while the loser is eliminated.
