Update instructions - Games connected to Stern Insider Connected: 1 - Open the coin door and press the black/enter button to enter Test Mode. 2 - Using the 4 buttons on the coin door, navigate to the Stern Insider Connected Setup menu. 3 - Using the 4 buttons on the coin door, navigate down to the Software Update menu. 4 - If a software update is available, this page will give you the option to download and install it manually. From this menu you can also select to install these updates automatically. It will now give the achievement after completing 4 episodes using all four shots. - Fixed the Achievement "Team April". It will now award correctly if you complete an April Hurry-Up during the Team-Up wizard mode. - Fixed The Cooperative Achievement "Team Work Silver". In a three or four player cooperative game, if a player completes the 3rd consecutive Weapon Hurry-Up they will not collect this achievement correctly. **** TWEAKED **** - Changed how many times you need to train to enable Neutrino Pizza Party from three to one. - Doubled all the scores from Episodes. - Reduced how fast Ninja Pizza Frenzy growes per switch and reduced the cap from 10K to 8K per switch. **** MOVED TO SYSTEM 3.22 **** Corrected potential game reset issue. When entering a WiFi password, the previous characters will be displayed as an asterisk. The WiFi password will be displayed as all asterisk when entering the setup screens or scanning the WiFi setup QR code. Added Service Menu Tech Alert when weak signal strength is detected. The signal strength and SSID will be displayed. An average signal strength < 40 is considered weak. A weak WiFi signal may contribute to a slower or inconsistent connection which may effect the abilty to login or download software updates. Signal strength can be improved by the use of an inexpensive WiFi extender. A wired Ethernet connection can also be used in cases where WiFi signals are problematic. Added Standard Adjustment "ENABLE HOME TEAM IN COINPLAY", default value of NO. Setting this to YES will allow Insider Home Team to be available for machines not set to Free Play. Normally "USE INSIDER HOME TEAM" is only available in Free Play mode. Many home players, who choose to use their game in Coin Play, have requested the ability to enjoy Home Team! Setting this this adjustment to YES will default the Home Team Guest Retention to Never. If you wish a different setting you will have update that adjustment after enabling Home Team in CoinPlay. Home Team is not available for machines registered to a Pro account operating in a commercial environment. Added Standard Adjustment "REMOVE FRACTIONAL CREDITS". Values are: "NEVER" and "AFTER X MINUTES IDLE", where X is between 30 and 240. The default value is "NEVER". If the game is idle (no coin or flipper switch activity in attract mode) for X minutes, any fractional credits will be removed. Whole credits will NOT be removed. Added Standard Audit "FRACTIONAL CREDITS REMOVED", which will track the number of fractional credits that have been removed when the game was idle. Changed the default value for Insider Connected Software Update to "Install updates automatically". LE/PREMIUM V1.52 - AUGUST 2, 2022 ================================= **** FIXED **** - During the start of NINJA PIZZA MULTIBALL, the upper left flipper will be raised based on the number of balls in the PARLOUR to try and catch more balls on the PIZZA MAGNET. - Fixed some TOTAL display effects where the score was fading off screen too soon. **** STERN INSIDER CONNECTED **** - Home Team The Home Team features allows Insider Connected players to log in and play without scanning their QR code. When the game is registered to a home location and set to Free Play, Home Team can be enabled via Standard Adjust #51 or from Guided Setup. Up to 8 players can be added to the Home Team from the Stern Insider Connected Setup menu. The Home Team can be shared across all games registered at the game's location by enabling the Home Team Standard Adjustment on each game. Players need only be added once to the Home Team. Players can be later removed from the Home Team, and guests can be temporarily added to the Home Team. All REPLAY LEVELS for all players are potentially immediately incremented instead of only replay level 1. Correct Standard Adjustment FREE PLAY LIMIT. Previously this adjustment would not be honored in all circumstances. FREE PLAY LIMIT sets the maximum number of free games which a player can win during a game. Once the FREE PLAY LIMIT is reached, a player will not receive a free game from: a REPLAY level (if REPLAY AWARD is set to CREDIT) a SPECIAL (if SPECIAL AWARD is set to CREDIT) Grand Champion/High Score (if HIGH SCORE AWARD is set to CREDIT a match (if MATCH AWARD is set to CREDIT) The default setting for FREE PLAY LIMIT is 5 games (per player per game played). When you see you are log in just push start. By default, the game will automatically start the game for everyone that is logged in with one button press. - Before you press start, while the login screen is up, the current player can use the flipper buttons to move which player position that will be. - After the game, by default, players will have a few seconds to press start and all stay logged in. The game will start all games with one press of the start button. - Added Achievements - - There are 77 achievements you can now earn if you are logged in. - Achievements will pop up after you have received them as soon as they can. New: - Added an HALF SHELL CHALLENGE Game Play Mode: - To access, hold in both flipper buttons to enter the game mode selection menu and then pan over to the HALF SHELL CHALLENGE menu screen. - The text on the HALF SHELL CHALLENGE menu screen will be greyed out if the mode has not been unlocked. - Start a game as all four turtles to unlock. - The four turtle lights on the front of the topper keeps track of your progress towards unlocking HALF SHELL CHALLENGE. - Once unlocked, the HALF SHELL CHALLENGE menu screen text will be colored and you can press the start button to start HALF SHELL CHALLENGE. - HALF SHELL CHALLENGE is a game play mode where you play as each of the four turtles, one at a time. Each turtle is racing back to their Lair. - There is a timer for each leg and a total time on the display keeping track of your current time for that leg of the race. - Each leg of the race has three blinking shots in the current turtle's color. Complete all three of those shots to advance to the final shot state. Then make one of the turtle shots to finish that leg of the race, lock in your time for that leg, and advance to the next turtle. - During each leg there are also 3 solid green shots lit. Making two of those shots will complete 1 of the 3 blinking shots. Once two green shots are completed, all green shots are removed and two more solid green shots appear. - Completing the last leg of the race completes the mode and displays the total screen. The total screen shows your total race time, your race time for each leg of the race, your total points, and your points awarded for your completion time for each leg of the race. - The ball will continously return to the shooter as long as the mode is running. - In addition to the leg timers there is an overall mode timer. This timmer starts at 50 seconds and is reset each time you progress the mode. If this timer runs out the mode will end. - Once the mode is complete, the unlock progress is cleared and the mode needs to be unlocked to play again. - Added an "ALLOW HALF SHELL CHALLENGE" adjustment - NEVER - The mode is never available. - QUALIFIED - (Default) Requires the mode to be unlocked for each play by playing one game as each of the four turtles. - ALWAYS - The mode does not need to be unlocked and is always available. - Added an HALF SHELL CHALLENGE Champion. The lowest total time will be the new Champion. - Added "HALF SHELL CHALLENGE CHAMPION" adjustment. Changes the default time for HALF SHELL CHALLENGE Champion - You can see the current champion in the attract mode and in Instant Info. - All 5 of the champions times are saved and displayed. - Added HALF SHELL CHALLENGE to the default game mode adjustment. - Added new DJ Mixer tunes and playlist from HALF SHELL CHALLENGE - Added the adjustment ALLOW HALF SHELL CHALLENGE to the HOME and DIRECTOR installs. LONG USE, MODERATE USE, and MINIMAL USE now reduce the shaker motor timing more than before. - Lowered the minimum TROUGH EJECT POWER to 150. This was already on the PRO. - Moved changing your next Episode from the 2X target to the Dimension X targets. They no longer change randomly. The right target moves your next episode to the NEXT possible episode for you. The left target moves to the PREVIOUS available episode. LE/PREMIUM V1.23 - October 22, 2020 =================================== Fixed: - Fixed an issue where the van can lose count of the balls. - This issue is not new. If you were seeing this issue somehow your game is losing a ball. Its possible your van opto is/was intermittent. One reason it could be intermittent is it has moved or otherwise needs physical attention. It could be on the edge of not seeing itself. - Scoring was not correct in WINDOW SHOPPING. Now the orbits score significantly more if you keep shooting the same orbit over and over. - Pizza slices were awarding an extra ball sooner than they should have been. The default is 55 slices. Tweaked: - Improved how and when we count balls in the game and in the van - Improved ball search with regard to the van. If the game needs to ball search and the van opto is blocked the game now assumes the "lost ball" is in the van. - Battle Again will no longer reset at the start of the ball. - Increased the base, inc and max values for foot awards collected throughout the game. - All awards for all episodes will now be larger based on how many episodes you previously completed in the game. The game is designed to have low scoring episodes but completing them is where the points are. - Mondo and Grande jackpots during Turtle Power Multiball are now worth 2X and 3X for the 2nd and 3rd+ passes through the same multiball. - Mondo and Grande jackpots in Ninja Pizza Multiball are now worth more even in the first pass through the multiball. Moved to system 2.60 - - New Standard Adjustment "START BUTTON ATTRACT MODE ILLUM." - This adjustment, which is only available and active when the game is in FREE PLAY mode, controls the behavior of the Start Button Light. Values are: - "ALWAYS OFF" - Start Button Light is always off when in attract mode. - "BLINKING" - Start Button Light will blink when in attract mode. This is the DEFAULT and previous behavior. - "ALWAYS ON" - Start Button Light is always on when in attract mode.
