Update instructions - Games connected to Stern Insider Connected: 1 - Open the coin door and press the black/enter button to enter Test Mode. 2 - Using the 4 buttons on the coin door, navigate to the Stern Insider Connected Setup menu. 3 - Using the 4 buttons on the coin door, navigate down to the Software Update menu. 4 - If a software update is available, this page will give you the option to download and install it manually. From this menu you can also select to install these updates automatically. Update instructions - All Games: 1 - Download the zip file 2 - Unzip the file, this will create a folder that contains SPK file(s). 3 - Open the folder, copy the file(s) to the root level of a FAT32 formatted USB stick. LE/PREMIUM V0.98 - NOVEMBER 19, 2025 ==================================== *** NEW *** - In the Battle of Gauntlgrym, if you choose to go after Balinor, your path will take you to THE UNDERMOUNTAIN. - If The Lich of Dragonspear Castle, if you choose to go stay and finish off Sammaster, your path will take you to THE UNDERMOUNTAIN. - Added THE UNDERMOUNTAIN as the 3rd ending of the game. - You can come here from a choice you made in The Lich of Dragonspear Castle, or a choice you made in The Battle of Gauntlgrym. - This Wizard mode has 6 LEVELS! - First, after you descend down from the Yawning Portal, you need to find the correct door. - Next your path is interrupted by your 5 armed friends. - Using their portal, you leave the dungeon and arrive in the town of Skullport where you are asked for a toll from some BugBears. If you have enough gold, you can pay them with the left loop shot. If you don't have enough gold or don't want to pay, you can fight them normally. - Now some Flaming Skulls stop your progress in town. After you deal with some of them a Mezzoloth shows up and tells you to follow him. Now you need to shoot white shots to disengage from the seemingly infinite Flaming Skulls. - Following the Mezzoloth to a warehouse might have been a mistake. They ambush you! After you kill them, searching the place recovers your health potions and the way forward. - Finding a new exit that leads the lair of Xanathar. He is not happy that you have made it that far. Each of his eye stalks need to be defeated in order by hitting them normally or using a ranged weapon. Be careful because some of the attacks by the eye stalks have strange effects: - Darkness to dim the battlefield - Hurry Up opportunities - Flipper Inverting Confusion - Amazing amounts of damage to one target. - Large Area of effect blast to damage the whole party Then, when you think you have killed Xanathar, Lasandra realizes it was not the real one! The real Xanathar shows up and you have to beat him one more time. - Each new level will start the ball saver for a few seconds. - When you are between levels and there are green shots lit you can shoot them to heal your party. - If you complete THE UNDERMOUNTAIN, you will unlock The Ranger as a character you can play. - Added Rhyme the Ranger as a playable character. - Rangers are good at using a ranged weapon. - They get two moving blue arrows when holding down the action button to aim at monsters. If either or both blue arrows line up with monster they will hit one or both. - If they have the Occulus Bow, the Ranger will have 3 blue arrows that move back and forth helping you aim. - Rangers feature Dexterity and Wisdom. Dexterity helps your armor class, making it harder to be hit. and Dexterity adds to your ranged weapon Damage. Your wisdom adds time to all your timers. - You need to complete THE UNDERMOUNTAIN to unlock this character. - The Barbarian now does extra damage to all Fiends: Abashi and Yugoloths. He just doesn't like them. - Added lamp effects for - Dungeon Crawl Start and End - Unlocking a Character - Looting a Treasure Chest and finding a Magic Item *** FIXED *** - Buying SPELL DRAGON from Fizmo will now work correctly. - The RAGE display chit will now only display on the Barbarian character. - Green healing shots only show up, during a dungeon, if the player actually has healing potions to use. - Fixed some weirdness when using the Barbarians RAGE. - (PREM/LE) The Dungeon will now come up when it should when Dungeon Crawl is lit. - Rage display effect now has the correct background. - Barbarian: In Dragonspear Castle, silver Arrow shots vs the Abishai will not light if the player is The Barbarian. - Gelatinous Cube Multiball can now be played more than once per game. On Medium its random from one to four ramp shots, and hard will always take four. - Added a ball save to the end of each level of Rescue the King. *** FIXED *** - (PREM/LE) The Dungeon was popping up sometimes when it should not have. - Fixed an issue where if you restart your game in the middle of Rescue the King it will not put you back in the middle of the Wizard Mode. - Fixed Tavern Brawl not starting. - Double scoring time will now be the correct length. - The text "OCULUS BOW OF TRUE AIM" was showing up for your ranged weapon even though you didn't have one. - Fixed an issue where the ranged weapon would continue after releasing the button. - SPELL DRAGON was not buyable at Fizmos when it should have been. - Fixed how Gelatinous Cube starts. Its no longer mostly the 2nd ramp shot. It could be 1 to 4 ramp shots. It will stay the same all week and then may change on Sunday. - Fixed issues where equipment would say NONE even though you had equipment in that slot. This will not take effect until you upgrade that item again or reset your account. *** TWEAKED *** - Doubled how many points you get for damaging or killing a monster. - Starting a battle in Dungeon Crawl will now score a bonus of 5M+. Completing that battle will score 2X that bonus or 10M+. - The adjustment MONSTER DIFFICULTY now affects how many Hit Points a monster has and how much damage they do to the player characters / Party. - Tweaked how long the shield stays up. Kill them fast. The longer you take the more powerful they get. - Next you will face Red Slaad. Each time they attack they will move and regenerate some of their health. So do not let them attack. - Next you face Hobgoblins. They fight in packs and are stronger if they are next to each other on the playfield. - Next you will have a choice: - Choose to stay and help Nighdaar and you will face Minotaurs. - Choose to help King Raddok and you will have to face two Skeleton Minotaurs before facing Balinor himself. - A Skeleton will reconstitute when one it is killed if the 2nd one is not killed first. - If Balinor has the Lifeblood Armor, You will have to destroy that first. Then your attacks will do damage to him. - Every few seconds that Balinor is not attacked he will launch a firebolt from his gauntlet. - When you are between phases and there are green shots lit you can shoot them to heal your party. - Added Rescue The King - Balinor has captured King Raddok. You must find a way into the castle and Rescue him. - You need to complete The Battle of Gauntlgrym to enable. - This is one of 3 endings of the game. - This wizard mode has 7 Levels! - First you need to sneak by some guards. If you fail you will you will be attacked. - Next, making your way to the dungeons of the castle, you need to defeat some guards that are guarding the king. - Next you need to make your way up to kitchens where you are attacked by Animated Armor. The Purple shot Dispel Magic one of them and will instantly kill one. - Next you will face a Shield Guardian. If you shoot the white shots you will stealthily get past the Guardian. Or you can fight him. - Next you face Helmed Horrors. - Next you have to face two Skeleton Minotaurs before facing Balinor himself. A Skeleton will reconstitute when one it is killed if the 2nd one is not killed first. - If Balinor has the Lifeblood Armor, You will have to destroy that first. Then your attacks will do damage to him. Treasure chest will give out more melee weapons. - You can acquire the Oculas Bow of True Aim but you will never get to use it. - Once per ball, you can press the Action Button, when its flashing RED to award you everything that is lit with a couple exceptions: It will not award you FIZMO, TOWN SELECTION, nor PURPLE SHOTS during Dungeon Crawl et cetera. Anything where the ball needs to be held. - Barbarians feature Strength and Constitution. Meaning they will likely do more damage and have more Hit Points than other classes. - Added a new Adjustment in Machine Settings -> Coil Settings section: MAGNET HOLD TIME (MS). Its how long the ball is held by the magnet when kicked from Fizmo. - Added LIGHT TAVERN BRAWL to the Fizmo Choices you can buy. - Added Artifact 2ND Chances to Fizmo. You can try again at getting an artifact that you failed to get. - Changed how Fizmo selects what its selling and where. Now there are 7 big items and 7 medium items. From 5K each. - Buying a Bump from Fizmo will add +50K per spin. - (PREM/LE) When the dice value reaches the Max Value the Dungeon stops coming up and down. The Dice will stay Max for the rest of the mode. Also, all the other shots go away. You only have the remaining time to shoot the spinner at the max value it will be. - Shooting the VUK no longer pauses the timer and doesn't hang on to the ball. - The Purple shots never come back on after you complete them. - (PREM) Added Dungeon Disabled logic. If you use the Adjustment to disable the Dungeon, shooting the VUK will score the Dungeon mech. - Added PASS option to the CHOOSE ACTION set of options. Now you may choose "PASS" from the prompt. If you PASS you will not travel to a new town and you will not start a new mode. Traveling may now be at night until the next day starts. - Added Dark Hold BONUS ROUND Rules - - To Light Dark Hold you only need to start any Town Dungeon. - Goblins are spawned to all shots and respawn fast as needed. Most shots will have a goblin on them most of the time. There are an infinite number of goblins. - Your party is both your extended heath bar and your killing power. - They always are knocked out before you and therefore extend your life. - They also, if alive, take a swing at a monster each time you make a shot. Your pinball shot always hits but they roll dice and may miss. You will kill more of them faster if your party is still up. - Try to hit shots that are timing out. They are about to hit you. - Use your Ranged weapon to hit Goblins that are timing out. It will stop them from timing out and hitting you. - Critical Hit is the same as you making a random shot. - Ball Save will run for the whole mode. You can not drain. - Your Shield will be lit when it starts. - Using your Shield does not use your up your lit Shields. Meaning your shield will be lit for the entire mode. - The mode runs until your party dies. - The goblins that are spawned at the start are easy and they get harder the more you kill. *** TWEAKED *** - Tweaked a few lamp effects to be less confusing. - Added speech in Gelatinous Cube Multiball. - Made various reliability improvements. - Added delay to 2nd+ Dragon reacting to Targets in a row to allow ball to roll away. ** NOTE ** The Legendary Sword of Unmaking will be available as part of a limited time event the weekend of 3/21. Also that slot of the treasure chest contents may now give nothing. - When you are about to go down a level of a Town-Dungeon, and your party needs health, and you have some potions, green shots will light. - Shooting a green shot will heal your whole party a few hit points. - If you are a Paladin it will heal you an extra amount. - If you are Cleric it will heal you the Max amount. - If you are high level it will heal you twice as much. - There is a new icon on the UI that shows how many potions you have. - Only Westgate, Greenest, Dragonspear Castle, and Kobold Town currently have healing potions implemented. - Added the Bard as an unlockable character.
